Everybody's Abnormal!

A study published last month that tracked women's menstrual histories and caracterized their periods as stable or erratic found that out of over 600 women, 72% had erratic periods, and only 28% had regular periods. The researchers concluded that although obstetricians (and the like) have traditionally thought of "normal" menstrual periods as being regular and stable, the distribution of women in this study appear to prove that erratic perios are actually more "normal." And the researchers say that a "paradigm shift" is needed in how doctors regular periods as "normal," while irregular periods are seen as "abnormal."
